US media believe that Chinese President Xi Jinping is ignoring ‘the US and India and the Western powers supporting them’ by not attending the G20 summit being held in New Delhi, which will be attended by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will be joined by more than 20 global leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. According to multiple unnamed sources cited by several Western media houses, Xi is inclined not to participate. A section of the American media said that most people around the Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the event, would face challenges in moving around due to the arrival of the world leaders.
The report said, this can only mean that Indian security officials had asked various countries to reduce their convoys.
