The increasing cases of dengue in Uttarakhand have raised concerns. The situation is that so far 1130 cases have been registered in the state. There is panic in the health department amid increasing cases of dengue. State Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar gave information in this regard. He said that till now 1130 dengue cases have been reported in the entire state. 257 cases are active. He told that we have given necessary instructions in all the hospitals. In Dehradun we have made a dengue micro management plan. We have made a containment area strategy and our officers will go here and do 100 percent saturation. Our aim is to saturate every household. We will saturate 100% as soon as possible.

Areas becoming dengue hot spots were also discussed in the meeting.
It was decided in the review meeting that with the collective efforts of all the departments, a mega campaign against dengue will be run in Dehradun district for the next four days. Medical officers and ASHAs in the district have been entrusted with the responsibility of door-to-door public awareness. Medical officers, Asha workers and teams of other departments will wake up from door to door to make people aware about dengue and will also work to destroy dengue larvae if they are present anywhere. Along with this, if the general public wants to get any information regarding dengue, the medical officers will work to provide it.
In this virtual meeting, District Magistrate Dehradun Sonika, Director General of Health Dr. Vinita Shah, Director Medical Education Ashutosh Sayana, Chief Medical Officer Dehradun Dr. Sanjay Jain, Director State Transmission Council Dr. Ajay Nagarkar, Program Officer NHM Dr. Pankaj Singh along with members of the district Dehradun. City health officer and other officials were present.
