According to Sushant Patnaik, Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board, pollution monitoring is being done at ten places in Dehradun including Rishikesh, Haridwar, Kashipur, Haldwani, Rudrapur, Tehri and Nainital, which will continue till November 19. AQI reached 130 in religious city Haridwar
The AQI in Haridwar city was 100 on October 25. On November 6, AQI is between 120 to 130. Here monitoring is done in Sidkul and Rishikul. On the other hand, the air in Pauri is clean. 34.65 AQI was recorded here on November 3. Rishikesh’s AQI is 62 and Kashipur’s AQI is 111.50.
Elderly and children remain alert
Dr. Anurag Aggarwal, senior chest specialist of Doon Hospital, says that due to air pollution and cold, patients may have breathing and heart problems. This problem quickly affects children also. Do not burn any kind of wood in the house, keep the doors and windows of the house closed. Send sick or elderly people out of the house only when absolutely necessary.
