UIDAI Warns Users Not To Share Documents To Update Aadhaar Card Through E-Mail, WhatsApp

UIDAI has alerted Aadhaar users in this regard. Tweeting from its Twitter handle, UIDAI said that it never asks for documents through email or WhatsApp to update Aadhaar. Always use My Aadhaar Portal if you need to update Aadhaar. And if you want to avail the offline facility then visit your nearest Aadhaar center and update your Aadhaar there.

UIDAI has launched a campaign. Under this campaign he is asking to update the Aadhaar which is more than 10 years old. According to UIDAI, people whose Aadhaar is more than 10 years old should update their demographic details like Proof of Identity and Proof of Address (POI/POA) documents in Aadhaar. For this, UIDAI is also providing the facility to update Aadhaar for free. Earlier this facility was available for free till 14 June 2023. Now it has been extended till 14 September 2023.
