Two Pakistani nationals detained by SSB on India-Nepal border, probe underway

Late on Wednesday evening, both of them were trying to enter from Kishanganj border in a suspicious manner. SSB jawans caught both of them and handed them over to the police. Police are interrogating both of them.

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 41st Battalion deployed on the India-Nepal border has arrested a woman and a child who were entering India illegally. Both are said to be mother and son.

Late on Wednesday evening, both of them were trying to enter from Kishanganj border in a suspicious manner. SSB jawans caught both of them and handed them over to the police. Police are interrogating both of them.

Both Pakistani nationals, the woman has identified herself as Shaista Hanif (62), husband- Mohammad Hanif and the child has been identified as Aryan (11) father- Mohammad Hanif. Both are said to be residents of Gahanmar Street, Sarafa Bazar, Karachi, Pakistan.

Sources say that the soldiers of SSB 41st battalion deployed on India-Nepal International Border area adjacent to Galgaliya police station area and BIT security personnel of Pani Tanki BOP have caught both of them entering India from Nepal side.

Till now both of them have not been able to show any valid documents to come to India. SSB is now busy in further action.
