TMC MP Derek O’Brien suspended from Rajya Sabha for remainder of Winter Session

The allegation against TMC MP Derek O’Brien is that he obstructed the proceedings of the House. He has been suspended earlier also.

Derek O’Brien has been accused of obstructing the proceedings of the House, for which action has been taken against him. After the security lapse in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday afternoon, Parliament resumed on Thursday (December 14). It is alleged that during this time O’Brien started disrupting the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha, upon which he was asked to leave the House.

In fact, Derek O’Brien had demanded a discussion on the lapse in security of Parliament. But on this Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar took the name of the TMC MP and ordered him to leave the House immediately. Dhankhar said, Derek is asked to leave the house immediately.

He says that he will disobey the Chairman. Derek O’Brien says he will not respect the rules. This is a serious misconduct. This is a shameful incident. The Chairman said that the conduct of the MP is not good. The Chairman said that Derek O’Brien came into the well of the House shouting slogans. Yesterday, they not only raised slogans regarding the incident of security lapse but also disrupted the proceedings of the House.
