This laborer from Jharkhand came out safely from UK tunnel, but his father died waiting for him

15 laborers from Jharkhand who came out of the tunnel in Silkyera, Uttarakhand, will be brought back by flight. For this, a team of state government officers has left for Uttarkashi. As soon as they are discharged from the hospital, they will be brought from Dehradun to Delhi and then to Ranchi. People are eagerly waiting for the workers in their homes.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the safe return of Bhaktu Murmu, a laborer, his father Barsa Murmu died on Tuesday. Bhaktu Murmu is a resident of Bahda village under Dumariya block of East Singhbhum district. His 70-year-old father Baset alias Barsa Murmu had fallen ill while lying on the cot waiting for his son for 17 days. He was asking everyone about his son’s condition.

On Tuesday, his patience broke and he died after falling from the same cot on which he was waiting for his son. His old wife’s eyes are filled with tears. A mountain of sorrows has fallen on the family.

It has been told that senior state IAS Bhuvanesh Pratap Singh and Joint Labor Commissioner Rajesh Prasad will reach Uttarkashi on Wednesday. All the laborers along with them are likely to reach Ranchi by 30th November or 1st December and return home.

There is an atmosphere of happiness in Kheerabeda under Ormanjhi block of Ranchi since yesterday. Three laborers of this village, Sukram Bedia, Anil Bedia and Rajendra Bedia, were trapped in the tunnel. After their safe passage, the family members heaved a sigh of relief. On Tuesday night, the people of this village celebrated by lighting lamps in their homes.

Even in the villages of Tinku Sardar, Gunodhar Nayak, Ranjit Lohar, Ravindra Nayak, Sameer Nayak and Mahadev Nayak of East Singhbhum, the eyes of the family members and villagers were fixed on TV and mobiles till last evening. As soon as the news of everyone coming out of the tunnel was received, people distributed sweets.

After Subodh Kumar, a resident of Birni, Giridih, came out of the tunnel, his father Budhan Mahato and his family members paid obeisance at the village temple. Budhan Mahato said that now he is waiting for his son to return home soon.

The stove burnt down in the family of Vijay Horo, resident of Gumdu village of Khunti district, on Wednesday after 17 days. His wife Sanarati Devi said that we were banging our heads on the door of God. He heard our prayer.
