Prisoners will recite Hanuman Chalisa in the jails of Uttar Pradesh. Will read Sundar Kand and learn about personality development from Bajrang Bali. For this, State Jail Minister Dharamveer Prajapati has asked all the jail superintendents to make proper arrangements for this and to provide religious books to the prisoners as per the requirement.

Jail Minister Dharamveer Prajapati gave this information while interacting with the prisoners in Azamgarh jail. He said that no one will be forced for this.

Minister Dharamveer Prajapati, who came to Azamgarh jail to interact with the prisoners, said that this exercise is being done for the personality development of the prisoners. There is no religious motive in this, nor is there any boundary. Because there can be no better teacher of personality development than Hanuman ji. Therefore, all the prisoners are being urged to read Hanuman ji and learn from him the ways of living a better life in the society.

He told that for any prisoner who wants to read Hanuman Chalisa, books will be made available from our side. Minister Dharamveer Prajapati told that many have gone to jail before this also. He also distributed Hanuman Chalisa in Mathura and Agra jail. A group lesson was also conducted. At that time there was a competition among the prisoners for this. The same situation has been seen in Azamgarh also. Therefore, such arrangements are now being made that any prisoner who demands such religious books will be made available to them from the jail library. This arrangement is being made in all the jails of the state.

He said that the only objective of this entire exercise is that when the prisoners come out of jail after serving their sentence, they should be completely civilized citizens. His intellect and thoughts may have all changed. He urged the prisoners to improve themselves. The minister said that many Muslim prisoners are also reading Hindu religious texts in jails at present. Similarly, many other prisoners are also studying the texts of other religions.
