There was a stir after the dead body of a foreign woman was found in Tilak Nagar, Delhi on Friday. When the police got information about this matter, they recovered the dead body and started investigation.

Delhi Police has arrested a person in connection with the murder of a Swiss woman. The woman’s body was found near a school in West Delhi on Friday morning. An officer gave this information on Saturday. According to the police, on Friday, the police control room at Tilak Marg police station had received information about a dead body lying near the wall of the MCD school in the area.
On reaching the spot, it was found that it was the dead body of a woman. “From the initial circumstances it appears to be a case of murder, so forensic and crime teams were called to the spot,” a senior police officer said.
“Doctors from DDU Hospital were also called to the spot to help understand the circumstances of the death,” said the officer associated with the investigation. He said it was later revealed that the woman had been murdered. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer said, “We were able to nab the accused Gurpreet on the basis of technical and manual intelligence.”
“The deceased is being interrogated to establish his identity and the circumstances surrounding the crime,” the DCP said.
The woman was identified as Lena Berger. Both of them met in Switzerland. They developed a close friendship and Gurpreet often traveled to Switzerland to spend time with her.
According to sources, Gurpreet suspected her of having an affair with another man and hatched a sinister plan to eliminate her. Leena reached India on 11 October, after which Gurpreet murdered her.
”Initially, he hid the woman’s lifeless body inside a car registered in the name of Berger. However, when a foul smell started emanating from the vehicle, he dumped her body on the roadside and quickly fled from the spot. Police have also seized the car.
