Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn issued notice in gutka ad case

Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court has been informed by the Central Government that notice has been issued to actors Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan. This notice has been issued in the matter of advertising of ‘Gutkha’ companies.

The Central Government’s lawyer also told the High Court that the Supreme Court is also hearing the same issue, hence the petition should be dismissed immediately. After this the bench fixed the hearing on 9 May 2024.

A bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan passed the order on a contempt plea, noting that the High Court had directed the Central government in September 2022 to decide on the representation of the petitioner, who had argued that action against these actors Who should be given high honors, but they are advertising for Gutkha companies.

During the hearing, Deputy Solicitor General S.B. Pandey said that the Center has issued show cause notices to Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan and sought their answers. After this, on behalf of the Central Government, Deputy Solicitor General S.B. Pandey told the High Court that the Central Government has issued a show cause notice to three actors Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan.
