Notorious criminal Rohit Godara, who hails from Rajasthan, has managed to elude Indian authorities by using the ‘donkey’ method in a daring escape scripted from a Bollywood thriller. Rohit Godara, a resident of Lunkaran, Bikaner, is absconding after his name cropped up in the Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi murder case and the search for him is going on till Canada.

Despite having over three dozen serious cases against him since 2010, Rohit Godara has successfully traveled to several countries using a covert method called ‘Donkey’, which involves strategically exploiting weaknesses in the visa system and immigration rules. The form involves a series of pauses.

Speculation is rife about the location of Gondar. Sources say he may have successfully escaped authorities in several states and is currently hiding in Canada or the US.

According to sources, it is also possible that he may be going to America or Canada via Europe, as his calls to the shooters last month revealed his location to be in South-Western Europe.

Godara’s escape after claiming responsibility for Gogamedi’s murder in a Facebook post has once again highlighted the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in the age of global crime.

However, the authenticity of the post is unverified. Godara is known for demanding extortion money ranging from Rs 5 crore to Rs 17 crore from businessmen in Rajasthan.

However, Gondar’s criminal activities extend beyond regional borders. He was involved in the murder of Delhi BJP leader Surendra Matiyala in April.

Recently, Delhi Police caught eight criminals, including minors and sharpshooters, linked to the Kapil Sangwan-Rohit Godara gang. He was allegedly hired by gangsters Kapil alias Nandu and Rohit Godara of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Sampat Nehra gang, highlighting the far-reaching influence of the criminal network.

Special Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Singh Yadav said, “Nandu and Godara had earlier asked them to kill Surendra Matiyala to spread terror in the area and weaken the rival Manjeet Mahal gang. Sampat Nehra arranged for the shooters with the help of his recruitment agents in Rajasthan. He was given the task of assassinating a top gangster of the rival Neeraj Bawana gang.

With over 32 criminal cases against him across the country, Godara is a wanted man in connection with high-profile murders including those of rapper Sidhu Moosewala and gangster Raju Thehat. He had fled from Delhi to Dubai on June 13 on a fake passport.
