After the violence in Haryana’s Nuh, the state government and the administration are claiming that the atmosphere is calm at the moment. Meanwhile, even though there has been no violence, the atmosphere at the ground level is tense. The evidence of this is the recent mahapanchayats in which decisions are being taken against the Muslim community. In Haryana’s Mahendragarh, Rewari and Jhajjar, sarpanches have demanded a ban on the entry of Muslim traders in the area. These Sarpanchs have started a campaign by writing letters online.

Citing the Nuh violence, some sarpanches have demanded a ban on the entry of Muslim traders in their areas. The reasoning behind this is that people belonging to a particular community commit incidents of theft, in which case they should be banned. On the other hand, Vijender Singh, sarpanch of Padayawas, said that the letter was written, but it was given when the violence started. Now he has said that he has no problem with the Muslim community and the letter has also been withdrawn.

On the other hand, after this news came to the fore, the District Magistrate in Rewari has ordered an inquiry into the matter. The administration is trying to find out on whose behalf such appeals have been made. The administration says that any such letter is against the constitution and action is necessary on it.

Braj Mandal Yatra was being taken out on behalf of Hindu organizations in Nuh. As per the plan, the Brij Mandal Yatra was started from in front of the Shiva temple in Mewat. Stones were pelted on the journey. Many workers of Bajrang Dal had reached the Brij Mandal Yatra. The violence had erupted after a video by Monu Manesar. In fact, two days before the violence, Monu Manesar had said that he would also participate in the VHP yatra that is going to start from Nuh. After that one video, inflammatory posts were also shared by people from other communities. Monu Manesar had also said that he himself would participate in this yatra. But, Monu did not join the Manesar yatra. Tension escalated over the involvement of an alleged cow vigilante named Bittu Bajrangi in the yatra. In Nuh, people from the other side had created a ruckus. 6 people had died in the violence.
