According to the information received from the Health Department, the number of dengue patients found in the state till Tuesday this year has reached 1132.

Health Department’s Additional Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit and Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh held a meeting with the superintendents of all medical college hospitals and civil surgeons of all the districts regarding dengue and reviewed the entire situation. Amrit along with other health officials visited Nalanda Medical College Hospital in Patna and met the patients admitted in the special dengue ward created here and inquired about their well being.

The hospital superintendent was instructed to keep spraying and fogging Larvisite at regular intervals during the day and night.

Here, in view of the increasing cases of dengue, State Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani has also called a meeting of senior officials of the health department on Wednesday. 29 new patients were found in Bhagalpur on Tuesday also. The reports of 25 patients in Mayaganj Hospital and four in Sadar Hospital came positive. The number of patients here has increased to 141. Despite the continuous increase in the number of patients, the Municipal Corporation is not conducting fogging properly in the affected areas.
