Nithari murder case: Allahabad High Court acquits Maninder Pandher and Surender Koli, overturns death penalty

Allahabad High Court has acquitted Koli and Pandher and canceled their death sentence. Giving information about this, Moninder Singh Pandher’s lawyer Manisha Bhandari said that the High Court has honorably acquitted Pandher in both the death sentence cases. There were a total of 6 cases against Pandher. In two of which death sentence was given. He told that Surendra Koli has also been acquitted in all the appeals filed in the High Court.

According to Moninder Singh Pandher’s lawyer, the trial court had awarded death sentence to Surendra Koli in 14 cases and to Moninder Singh Pandher in two cases. Both the accused had challenged the decision of giving them death sentence in Allahabad High Court. He had told the court that there were no eyewitnesses to these incidents. He has been sentenced to death only on the basis of scientific and circumstantial evidence. There was a long hearing on both the petitions. Finally, on Monday, the High Court declared Surendra Koli and Pandher innocent and acquitted them. Along with this, the death sentence awarded to them in these cases has been cancelled. The bench of Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra and Justice SA Hussain Rizvi has given this decision in favor of Koli and Pandher. Detailed information about this decision has not been revealed yet.

Senior advocate Manisha Bhandari said that there were a total of six cases against Pandher, in one of which the Allahabad High Court had already acquitted him. In the remaining three he was acquitted by the lower court. The remaining two cases had death penalty. He was acquitted in them on Monday. Now there is no punishment pending against them. Hopefully they will come out as soon as possible. The advocate said that the entire investigation process in this case is under question.

Koli had filed an appeal against the death sentence in more than a dozen cases of brutal murder and rape of dozens of girls. Pandher also got death sentence in two cases. Girls from Nithari village were brought to Pandher’s house in Noida and murdered.

This incident that took place between 2005 and 2006 had put humanity to shame. Industrialist Moninder Singh Pandher and his servant Surendra Kohli, living in Kothi No. D5 in village Nithari, Sector 30, Noida, were accused of raping women and innocent girls, killing them, cutting their bodies into pieces and throwing them in the drain. Were. It was told that many were buried in the house itself. CBI had investigated this case. Later the CBI court sentenced both of them to death.

Both Koli and Pandher are lodged in Ghaziabad’s Dasna jail since 2006. He had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the decision of CBI. In the petition he declared himself innocent. The High Court had accepted the petitions of both. After a long debate on their appeals, the division bench had reserved the verdict in September, which was pronounced today. Since the charges could not be proved, both of them were declared innocent and their death sentence was cancelled.
