The case of death of a girl, Naval trainee Agriveer, has come to light in Mumbai. Police said on Tuesday that a 20-year-old woman, who was undergoing training in the Navy, has committed suicide by hanging herself. An investigating officer said the girl has been identified as 20-year-old Aparna Nair, who was aboard Indian Naval ship INS Hamla in Malad. I was taking training. It is possible that he may have taken this step for personal reasons.

Nair had come to Mumbai for training and was staying in a private hostel. Malvani police station senior police inspector Chimaji Adhav said the police have registered a report of accidental death and the motive behind the incident is being further investigated.

His roommate said that when she returned to her room around 10.30 am on Monday morning and knocked repeatedly on the door, Nair did not respond. Later, she informed other girls and hostel staff who broke the door and found Nair’s body there.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead and police were later called to investigate.

What is Agniveer Yojana?

Let us tell you that Agniveer Yojana was announced on June 14, 2022. Under this scheme, youth are recruited into the three services of the armed forces, Army, Navy and Air Force. The soldiers who join the army under this scheme are called Agniveer. Under the Agniveer scheme, soldiers serve for four years. Which includes training for six months and deployment for three and a half years.
