Lalu Prasad slams Centre over frequent train accidents

After Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, now a major train accident has happened in Andhra Pradesh. More than 14 people have been killed in this accident, while more than 50 people are injured. This accident happened in Vizianagaram district of the state where two passenger trains collided with each other. After this horrific train accident, RJD chief and former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has criticized the Central Government and expressed deep concern over it.

Lalu Yadav asked in a post on social media platform X that who will take responsibility for the frequent train accidents in the country? The RJD chief said, “On Sunday, two passenger trains met with an accident in Andhra Pradesh in which 14 people lost their lives and more than 50 were injured. I express my deepest condolences to the family members of the deceased and wish speedy recovery to the injured passengers.

“Who will take responsibility for the frequent rail accidents in the country? For how long will they hide the number of casualties through headline management? According to the CAG report, Railways is in huge losses. They have destroyed everything about Indian Railways through privatization. Have given.”

Visakhapatnam-Palasa passenger train collided with Visakhapatnam-Rayagada passenger train from behind on Sunday, resulting in loss of 14 lives. With over 50 other passengers injured, East Coast Railway (ECR) officials believe the death toll may rise.

Earlier, on October 11, five passengers were killed and more than 30 were injured when the Anand Vihar (New Delhi) Kamakhya North East Express derailed at Raghunathpur station. The Balasore triple train tragedy also occurred in Odisha when the Coromandel Express and two other trains collided with each other, killing 292 passengers.
