Khalistan supporters have once again targeted a Hindu temple in Canada’s British Columbia province. The temple has been vandalised. This incident happened on Saturday night. This incident done by Khalistanis has been captured in CCTV camera. After vandalizing the temple, Khalistani supporters pasted posters of Khalistan referendum on the main door of the temple.
The poster reads, Canada is probing India’s role in the June 18 murder. The poster has a picture of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Hardeep Singh was murdered in the city of Surrey, British Columbia in the month of June. The Khalistanis had alleged that India was behind Hardeep’s murder. However, Canada has refused to accept this allegation.
Who was Hardeep Singh Nijjar?
Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the head of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in Surrey City, Canada. He was also the chief of the Khalistani separatist organization Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). He was one of the main separatists driving the anti-India agenda in Canada. Hardeep Singh was killed by two unidentified assailants on the evening of 18 June in the Gurdwara premises. Khalistan supporters blamed India for Hardeep’s killing. On the other hand, a person close to Hardeep revealed that the Canadian agencies have denied the threat to his life from India. Canadian security agencies had already informed Hardeep that he could be a target.
Temple attacked in Canada for the third time
This is the third incident of Hindu temples being targeted in Canada this year. Earlier on January 31, a prominent Hindu temple was targeted and vandalized in Brampton, Canada. Anti-India things were also written there on the wall of the temple. Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown strongly criticized the anti-India slogans written on the walls of the temple.
The temple was also attacked in the month of April this year. A Hindu temple was targeted in Ontario. Anti-India slogans were also written there. A CCTV footage was released by the police after the attack. In the CCTV footage, two people were seen writing anti-India slogans using spray paint on the wall of the temple.
