Train No. 06474, Nilambur Road-Shoranur Express Special train derailed after hitting cattle on the track at Vallapuzha in Palakkad, Kerala. There is no report of any casualties or injuries. Three trains were canceled and one train was rescheduled. Work is underway to restore traffic from the track.

Wednesday has been a day full of accidents for the Railways. First, a fire broke out in the New Delhi-Darbhanga Clone Express train passing through Etawah in UP. After this, an incident of fire in gun powder came to light in Bhagalpur Intercity Express in Samastipur. Now the incident of train derailment has come to light in Kerala.

According to information given by Palakkad Railway Division PRO, train number 6474, Nilambur Road-Shoranur Express Special train derailed at Vallapuzha in Palakkad after hitting cattle on the track.

Railways said that there was no report of any casualty or injury. Three trains were canceled and one train was rescheduled. Work is underway to restore traffic from the track.
