Jordan cancels Biden summit after deadly explosion at Gaza hospital

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas immediately canceled a planned meeting with Biden after the attack on the hospital in Gaza. After this, King Abdullah of Jordan canceled the summit, in which Biden was to sit and talk with Egyptian and Palestinian leaders. Biden was scheduled to reach Tel Aviv and Jordan during his one-day visit. Now he will visit only Israel.

US President Biden is visiting Israel and the Middle East today. The purpose of his visit was to support Israel in the war. We also have to find ways to provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Biden also has to go to Jordan. There, talks are proposed with King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdul Fatah Al Sisi. Palestine Administrator Chief Mohammad Abbas was also to attend the first meeting. But, Biden has failed after the attack on Gaza hospital. Now the news is that Jordan has canceled the summit with King Abdullah, Sisi, Abbas. This means that the heads of state of the three countries have refused to meet Biden.

Biden expressed condolences towards those killed

According to a White House official, Biden has expressed deep condolences to the innocent people killed in the attack on the hospital in Gaza and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Biden looks forward to speaking personally with the Egyptian, Palestinian and Jordanian leaders soon, he said.
