Now Hindus in Canada are in danger! ‘Bloodshed against Hindus may increase’, claims Canadian MP who fled India
अब कनाडा में हिन्दू खतरे में! बढ़ सकता है हिंदुओं के खिलाफ खून-खराबा’, भारत छोड़ भागे कनाडा सांसद का दावा
An Indian-origin MP in Canada has once again expressed concern about the safety of Hindus. Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya said in an interview with CBC News that the minority Hindu community is scared in view of the increasing threats from Khalistani groups in Canada.
There are serious concerns about the safety of Hindu people in Canada. He condemned threats against Hindu people in Canada after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed the Indian government was involved in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey. During the interview, Arya quoted the column of Canadian commentator Andrew Coyne. Who had said that ‘the threat of communal bloodshed in Canada is real.’
The Liberal MP’s warning about the growing threat of the Khalistan movement comes in the wake of recent threats against the Hindu community by Sikh for Justice (SFJ) leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. SFJ’s Pannu, a designated terrorist in India, has threatened Hindus in Canada and asked them to leave the country. The Khalistani separatist leader also appealed to the Sikhs in Canada to vote in the so-called referendum to be held on October 29 in Vancouver. After a video of Pannu went viral, the Canadian government expressed its disagreement with such actions and stressed that there is no place for hatred in the country.
In a post on X this week, he said that ‘There is no place for hatred in Canada. An online video asking Canadian Hindus to leave Canada is outrageous and disgusting and an insult to all Canadians and our values. Acts of aggression, hatred, intimidation or fearmongering have no place in this country and they only serve to divide us. We appeal to all Canadians to respect each other and follow the rule of law.
As tensions continue to rise in Canada, India has issued an advisory asking its citizens and those planning to travel to the country to exercise extreme caution in view of increasing anti-India activities, hate crimes and violence. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that the threats by Khalistan supporters have specifically targeted Indian diplomats and those sections of the Indian community who oppose the anti-India agenda.
