गुरुग्राम में मीट की दुकान पर पथराव, पुलिस ने सांप्रदायिक पहलू से किया इनकार
The fire of violence that broke out from Nuh to Gurugram in Haryana has not subsided yet. Unidentified persons targeted and pelted stones at the meat shop of a person named Mohammad Javed near CRPF Chowk in Gurugram late on Monday night. However, the police have denied any communal motive behind the incident.
In the attack, Javed, a resident of Begusarai in Bihar, suffered minor injuries and shattered the glass window of his shop. Javed immediately informed the police about the incident and told that he was inside the shop when he heard the sound of glass breaking. He said a group of 10-12 assailants were involved in the incident, some of whom were masked and were carrying sticks.
After the attack, Javed’s nephew, who was injured by a stone thrown at the shop, took him to the hospital. A senior police officer said the incident was not related to the recent communal clashes in neighboring Nuh, in which six people lost their lives. The violence in Nuh spread to parts of Gurugram and daily life was disrupted, forcing many to flee.
On Javed’s complaint, police have registered an FIR against unknown persons at Sector 5 police station under sections 323 (causing hurt), 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly) and 427 (causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code. Police said that they are scanning the CCTV footage of the area to identify the criminals.
