Protests by farmers are continuing for the same rate of compensation for the farmers of many villages affected by NTPC and construction of schools, colleges and health centers in the area.

Farmers, who have been protesting outside the Noida Authority for several days, will lock out the Noida Authority today. Farmers from 105 villages will be involved in the site closure. A large number of police forces have been deployed as a precaution.
First Havan will be performed here, after that all the gates of the authority will be locked after circumambulation. The farmers said that if their demands are not met then what is the use of the authority officials here. Such authority should be closed.
2,200 affected by NTPC due to farmers giving 10 percent plot of acquired land or its equivalent amount, increasing land from 450 square meters per adult member to 1,000 square meters under population regulation, not imposing fee for running business activities in 5 percent of the plot, 2,200 affected by NTPC. The farmers are demanding compensation to the families.
The protest by the farmers continues for the same rate of compensation for the farmers of 24 villages affected by NTPC and construction of schools, colleges and health centers in the area.
Earlier, on Monday, Noida Authority ACEO Sanjay Khatri, DCP Harish Chander, ADCP Manish Mishra, ACP Rajneesh Verma reached the protest site to convince the farmers. There was a conversation between farmers and officials for about an hour. Officials told the farmers that talks would soon be held with the Industrial Development Commissioner to fulfill their demands. But the farmers did not agree. Farmers said that in any case a complete lockdown will be imposed on the authority.
On the other hand, farmers remained on strike in front of NTPC office in Sector-24 on Monday. Farmers will observe lockdown here on January 5.
Bharatiya Kisan Parishad President Sukhbir Pehalwan said that the officials assured to talk to the Industrial Development Commissioner but did not give a time limit.
