Parvati Kumari, a blind teacher and PhD scholar who has been teaching at Satyawati College of Delhi University for a long time, has written a post on social media demanding euthanasia after being fired from the job. In the post he has written that ‘Now there is nothing more beautiful than death, I should be given a wish to die. Please help me.’
He said, “After losing my eyesight in 10th class, I did 12th in Braille. I did graduation from DU IP College, M.A from Daulat Ram College, M.Phil and PhD from JNU. My JRF is in the normal category. But today I was removed from the job and replaced by a new student with a normal M.A. and NET passed. This is murder of me, just murder.”
Parvati’s book is published by Vani Prakashan. There is also a story collection. Apart from this, he has many articles which have been published in reputed Hindi magazines. This former Delhi University graduate says, “The light of my life was this ad-hoc job. It was not only in the Mahabharata that kidnapping happened, even today it has happened to me with great horror. My job was snatched away from me. Life My blindness has deepened again. I thought of committing suicide many times, but I want euthanasia, please help me.”
Parvati Kumari wrote in the post, “I appeal to every citizen of India that I am Parvati. Now I have transformed into the form of a living corpse. I am dying every moment after being expelled from Satyavati College, Sandhya. Now I want I wish that this pain of mine would end forever. When God took away my eyesight, I felt that somehow I would cross the ghat. Little did I know that even in the society of intellectuals, an unfortunate soul like mine was trampled with a knife and bled to death. It will be done. I am frightened. It seems as if I have become blind again. Hot oil has been poured into the blind eyes. Oh God, where has your justice gone, have some mercy on us.”
Parvati further wrote, “You do not know the struggle of the blind. I struggle at every turn of life. All our desires were suppressed by God, this incident put humanity to shame. Let me tell you one thing. I am. Our society is not sensitive towards the disabled. There is a difference between male blindness and female blindness. We are hit double. Men have privileges in the society but women?”
According to Professor Abha Dev Habib of Delhi University, a total of 11 teachers were teaching in Satyavati College evening. Total seats were 16. Of these, 6 people were thrown out, only 5 were kept. The teachers removed include Dr. Manjul Kumar Singh (23 years of experience), Dr. Vinay Jha (12 years of experience), Dr. Sanjeet Kumar (14 years of experience), Dr. Sachhi (10 years of experience), Dr. Parvati Kumari (9 years of experience), The name of the doctor is Arman Ansari (10 years of academic experience). Abha Dev says that even if everyone was accommodated, there would still be 5 seats left, which the bosses could have given to anyone they wanted. But greed and arrogance of power know no bounds.
