For more than two and a half years continuously since the year 2019, the corona virus which has disturbed the whole world and killed millions of people, has still not left us. According to the news, the deadly corona virus has once again started spreading among us and this time with a new dangerous variant. The name of this variant is BA.2.86, which is also being called Pirola.

According to media reports, this variant has been considered as variant under monitoring due to too many mutations. The World Health Organization is also alert about BA.2.86 and has put it under surveillance. According to experts, there are some new symptoms associated with this particular strain of BA.2.86. The effect of this variant has currently been found in several countries including the US, Denmark, Israel and the UK.

It is a matter of relief that at present this variant has not reached India. However, at present, a special watch is being kept on this variant in India too, so that no major danger arises. Regarding this, on August 21, the Central Government held a high-level meeting and asked the states to increase testing, complete genome sequencing and keep a close watch on the new global variant of Corona.

Since December 2019, different forms of Kovid-19 have been coming to the fore. In the next 3 years, different variants have been identified. During this time many variants like Beta, Gamma, Delta and Omicron have come to the fore. When people with different symptoms of Covid are identified, their samples are collected and sent for indexing, which is a way of understanding what the virus is made of. Each type of virus behaves differently because they have different genetic variations. Some new additional features have appeared in the new variant BA.2.86.
