Congress leader shot dead in Moga; Canada-based gangster Arsh Dalla claims responsibility on FB post

Hearing the sound of bullets, a huge crowd gathered at the Congress leader’s house. By the time people reached the spot, the accused had fled from the spot. Baljinder Singh Balli, soaked in blood, was taken to the hospital, where he died.

After receiving information about the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police J. Elanchejian and other officers arrived at the scene and spoke to people. Police said that investigation into the case is ongoing. On the basis of CCTV footage, the police has started searching for the accused.

Baljinder Singh Balli was the party chief of Ajitwal block of Moga district from the Congress Party. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the massacre. There is huge anger among the people due to the massacre. The family members of the Congress leader have demanded the arrest of the accused as soon as possible. Senior Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa and party state unit president Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding have strongly condemned the massacre.
