In the Gyanvapi Mosque dispute case of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, the survey report of the complex by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) could once again not be filed in the District Judge’s court on Monday. The court has given one more week’s time to complete and submit the report.
Hindu side’s lawyer Madan Mohan Yadav said that while hearing the case, District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh has given an additional time of one week to the ASI to complete the survey and submit its report. The court has fixed December 18 as the next date of hearing in the case.
Earlier on November 30, the court had given additional time of 10 days to ASI for the third time to file the report. Besides, it was also said that it is hoped that ASI will not demand further time. ASI told the court on November 2 that the survey work has been completed. Additional time of 15 days is required to prepare the report. After this, ASI again demanded from the court to give additional time. On seeking additional time for the third time, the court gave 10 days’ time to ASI to file the report. Along with this, the next date of hearing of this case was fixed for December 11. Now for the fourth time again a week’s extension has been given.
