Abu Dhabi-bound IndiGo flight makes emergency landing at Delhi airport

An Indigo flight going from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, to Abu Dhabi has escaped being a victim of an accident. During the flight, there was a technical fault in the flight itself. After this the hydraulics of the aircraft stopped working. Breathing of 155 passengers in the plane got stuck. The plane immediately made an emergency landing at Delhi airport. This incident happened at 10:42 pm on Saturday night.

There have been reports of technical glitches in Indigo flights several times in recent times. Just two weeks ago, an emergency landing was made at Bhubaneswar airport immediately after a Delhi-bound Indigo flight was hit by a bird. Earlier in the month of August, an Indigo flight was landed at Nagpur airport for medical emergency after a passenger’s health deteriorated.

Technical problems were seen in the flight during the flight within a span of a few hours on the same day. An engine of the flight going from Kolkata to Bangalore broke down in mid-air. After this an emergency landing had to be done. The engine of an Indigo flight going from Madurai to Mumbai also stopped working in mid-air, after which an emergency landing of the flight was made. The investigation is being conducted on the instructions of the Airport Authority of India.
