In China, this disease has affected children the most. 7 cases of mycoplasma pneumonia have been reported in AIIMS between April and September.
After Corona, there is an atmosphere of fear among the people in the country regarding this disease. According to the report, there is a need to increase surveillance to detect Mycoplasma pneumonia in India. The report published in Lancet Microbe said that one case was detected through PCR test done in the early stages of infection while the remaining 6 cases were detected through IgM ELISA test.
