CM Aditynath Action on Halal Certification, crackdown on Halal production companies

The complainant alleges that under the guise of religion, unrestrained propaganda is being spread among a particular section of the society to not use such products which have not been given Halal certificate by their company.

There have been allegations of fraud regarding Halal certificates issued for food and beauty products. Its products can definitely be banned in UP. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to take strict action in the matter. There is a fear that terrorist organizations and anti-national activities are being funded by the illegal income being collected in the name of Halal certificate with the help of forged documents. Now an FIR has also been registered in Lucknow Commissionerate.

According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Shailendra Sharma, Halal India Private Limited Chennai, Jamiat Ulema Hind Halal Trust Delhi, Halal Council of India Mumbai, Jamiat Ulema Maharashtra Mumbai etc. provide Halal certificate on some products in the name of religion to the customers of a particular religion. Illegal business is being run by taking financial benefits to increase their sales by providing them.

These companies have no authority to give certification to any product. The said companies are preparing forged certificates and issuing Halal certificates to various companies for financial gain. This not only increases social hatred but also betrays public trust.

The complainant has expressed apprehension of a big conspiracy and said that efforts are also being made to reduce the sales of the products of the companies which have not obtained such Halal certificate, which is a criminal act. There is apprehension that this unfair advantage is being passed on to anti-social/anti-national elements.

The special thing is that Halal certificate is also being given for the sale of vegetarian products like oil, soap, toothpaste, honey etc., whereas no such certificate is required for vegetarian items. Obviously a criminal conspiracy is being hatched against a particular community and their products.

The complainant alleges that under the guise of religion, unrestrained propaganda is being spread among a particular section of the society to not use such products which have not been given Halal certificate by their company. As a result, the business interests of other communities are being harmed. In this way, a malicious attempt is being made to earn unfair financial benefits by issuing Halal certificates even on items meant for use by common citizens.
