Red alert issued for rain in many states including Delhi, 28 died due to rain in Uttar Pradesh

It is raining intermittently in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in 6 districts. During the last 24 hours, 9 people died in accidents due to rain in the state. Of these, three people have died in Mirzapur, two each in Prayagraj and Sitapur, while one person each has died in Sultanpur and Badaun. According to reports, 91 villages in Ballia, Barabanki, Badaun, Kasganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kushinagar, Mau and Meerut districts are affected by floods due to rain.

It is noteworthy that 19 people died due to rain in UP on Monday. Due to rain, the administration had closed schools in some districts for one to two days. IMD has issued red alert of heavy rain in 6 districts and orange alert in four districts.
