The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain on Monday as well. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in ten districts including Dehradun on Monday. An orange alert has been issued by the Meteorological Center for Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Bageshwar districts.
Yellow alert is in place for Haridwar, Tehri, Chamoli, Udhamsingh Nagar and Pithoragarh districts. Rain may also occur in other districts.
Bikram Singh, director of the Centre, said, heavy rains with thunder and lightning may occur in these ten districts, while heavy rains are expected across the state from August 22.
Three days later, Doon recorded a drop in temperature due to torrential rains. The maximum temperature of Doon on Sunday was recorded three degrees lower than last Saturday.
On the other hand, people had to face problems due to waterlogging in many places in the city due to torrential rain. The potholes on the roads have doubled the problem of motorists and passers-by.
