In many areas of Uttarakhand, people’s problems have increased due to rain. Rivers and drains are in spate. There has been water logging in many areas. Normal life has been badly affected due to heavy rains. The rains have created flood-like conditions in some areas. Heavy rains have created a flood-like situation in some parts of Haldwani. There is also news of some people being trapped in these areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, at present many areas of Uttarakhand are not going to get relief from rain. IMD has issued Orange Alert for Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri, Champawat, Nainital and Haridwar. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in Champawat, Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital and Tehri districts today.
